Isn't this story line similar to Crissy's real life struggles 20-30 years ago, with a saboteur lurking at or around her workplace, rigging her car and/or giving misinformation on best starting practices?  

Did Crissy ever get revenge on that individual (other than turning her struggles into a profitable venture?)
