The year was 1992 (fall season) and I was living with friends. One day I was getting ready to go to work. In my bedroom I heard the familiar sound
that we all have our ears tuned into, a vehicle not starting. This one sounded like a ford. After 4 or 5 times of hearing this vehicle crank, I went to
my bedroom window and looked for the vehicle and I found it just a few lots away from me. It was a red & white late 70's or early eighties Ford Bronco.
A woman (Hispanic looking) was behind the wheel. At the time I found out where the cranking was coming from she was bouncing endlessly (about 30 times) then she turned the key and again nothing but dry cranking. I continued getting ready for work (in a hurry) gathering a few other things then I went to the car and she was still at it (trying to whip that bronco with her foot to start). I got into the car I was driving and started it w/o a problem and
backed out, drove to that bronco. It appeared she somehow got it started. It took her about 30 minutes or so. I drove on to work. A few days later
I was driving home and when I got close I saw that bronco on the side of the road nearby by where she lived. I imagine it broke down. The next thing I noticed is that about 4 or 5 days later a late 70's Chevy Nova was on her lot. And it seems that she never had a starting problem with that one. I was hoping for the bronco to come back but it never did. Some more potential missed opportunities to meet the woman and to watch her try to tame a bronco.
Has that ever happened to anyone of you when a person gets rid of a tempermental car when you wished for them to keep it to entertain you?
I will give her credit if she did the smart thing with it(meaning she took that stubborn horse out back and shot it, brought the nova in to replace it).
But I still wished she would have kept that difficult bronco because I missed it.

She was revving it a little just to keep the engine running. I don't know how many rpm's.
