Hi all,?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" />My name is Sam and I am new to this site, well, at least posting on this site. I love revving! I LOVE REVVING!!! I have loved revving since I was a young boy (now 29). Unfortunately, I missed the 50's, 60's and 70's, so seeing every day women pumping and revving cars never happened to me on a regular basis. I have a great girl friend that loves NASCAR, loud engines and speed so I am ready to try something sneaky. She knows of my love for big old cars from the 60's and 70's so I am going to buy one for "wink, wink" restoration purposes. With that said, I think this will be an excellent opportunity to have her "help" me by fixing the engine i.e. pumping and revving! A bit sneaky, yes, but harmless none the less so I am going for it. I am looking for an older car with a V8 and a big pedal. My only other pre-requisite is that it is a car with an engine that can take seriously hard revving. We had an old Buick while growing up that did not last long when I got my license due to my revving it. I'll be first to admit that I was a little hard on it, however, in just a couple months it was knocking and shot to heck. My mom just chalked it up to the car being old, but I knew a few too many floorings killed it. With that said, what do you folks recommend? I have been told that old Chrysler and Ford engines hold up to hard revving very well. How about old Cadillac engines from the late 60's to early 70's? Please let me know your opinions or first hand experiences as I have nothing to go on and want this thing to be safe and last a while. Please no newer cars with rev limiters, just the old V8 engines.By the way, when I say hard revving, I mean a good old fashioned flooring for a few seconds straight, not minutes although the longer it can be safely floored the better. I never know how carried away we (I) may get!Sam

Hello Sam - Welcome to the revving section. You seem to be on the right track with your girl friend. I have only had 2 women rev for me in my life. One was a robot that had no idea what to do or how to act. She was emotionless and this did nothing for me. (almost nothing LOL!) The last was great and really knew how to get to me but this was short lived as I went to the Gulf for a couple years and she moved on. Since then, the internet has been my only source for PP. I have asked a few others but they seemed a bit shocked, so I didn't press the issue. Good luck and keep us posted. You mention some fine cars for revving. I have only experience with one car that you listed. That was a Caddy. This was a 1973 Caddy sedan deville and lasted for almost 9 months of revving. She revved often but the hard "fetish" revving took place about 2 times a week in a secluded area. She was without a doubt a foot to the floor kinda girl with no fear what so ever. I can tell you first hand that the car showed no signs of problems and sounded awesome. The only reason I got rid of it was because I was deploying and she was moving back with her parrents.

Another hard revving fan!!!!!!  YES!!!!!!!

Cindy loves to rev.. glad you are looking to do the same.

You need to get ahold of Loudpipes.. he's THE MAN when it comes to fixing a car to survive hard revving . His wife does some amazing revving in a 65 Ford Galaxy with a 390 v8... some of it is captured in various video and sound clips.

On the older cars, revs can be limited by fixing the ignition so that the car will start backfiring at the desired maximum revs and won't go any higher, no matter how hard your sweetie floors it. This won't hurt the engine.... only the mufflers (glasspacks won't mind).

Search this forum for loudpipes' stories... they're great!

Hello to everyone.... Well Sam, we have the same point of view....! Exactly! I'm 34, i love the classic big Cadillacs from 70's and when a woman is revving hard such a car is.... the ultimate "heaven".... (or dreaming of it, it's the ultimate fantasy....)! Anyway. Keep us informed and i would be happy to exchange e-mails each other in private. If you like, send me a private message and we will go on through personnal e-mail system (like yahoo, msn e.t.c.).

Also, for my great "Luvitloud".... i'm VERY impressed with your experience.... I'm very currious and interested and i would like to talk personally each other. If you also like, send me an e-mail through the private message and we will exchange our e-mails.

Also, for "Cindy", i remember that you mentioned a Mustang from early 70's that you would be happy to enjoy the fun by blowing up the engine.... What happened with that?

Generally, i'm open for new friends and despite "revving-fetish", it would be nice to expand our friends worldwide.... I know that this forum is not so in making new friends but.... why not? The "fetishism" is normal for the human nature.... Don't be shy....

And for my experiences, i have had my ex-girlfriend revving very hard for me.... She got the point from the first minute and she was performing wonderfull every time in an old "Citroen" car.... We had "great".... moments...., usually 2-3 times a week. The fun is that sometimes she used to tease me by revving hard in stop-lights....! (while the other drivers stared at a car that was screaming and then they were VERY surprised by the scene of a young lady to do that.... It was very funny!) However, like "luvitloud", i moved abroad because of my work and she couldn't wait. Also, when i was young, i used to encourrage many neighbours  (women of course) to rev their cars. I was trying every time to find a reason in order to tell them that they should do it NOW.... It was a nice period (like every teenager....) and nowadays  i'm loughing when i remember these moments. The result was sometimes unexpected successfull.... I still remember a girl around 22-23 years old ( i was 16 then) which lived then in the next house. She had an early 70's Alfa-Romeo (without rev-limiters OF COURSE....!) and she almost blew up the engine by revving it hard for more than 10 minutes! The whole place was full of smoke, and she stopped when her father went and start shouting to her.... I still remember his shouting. The girl said that she was trying to blow-out the carbon.... Anyway, i could marry this girl! Lol! All the above are TRUE and i really don't like the unreal stories when they are presented as true.... It's most honest to tell from thebeginning that this is a nice story that "could be happen" than to tell that "it happened" I really don't like that.... Anyway. For the above mentioned girl, i'm still seeing her but not very often. She is now 40+, married and with 3! kids. She usually visit her mother that she still lives near my house.... Anyway, just memories. I hope that everyone who is reading these, is not getting borring.

Ok, closing, i would like to send my great and warmest regards to everyone. Drop me an e-mail if you ever decide to visited Greece.... There is wonderfull food, by the way....

                                                             Best-Friendly Regards from Greece,

                                                                               George.

Cindy.. see my other post from today..

We had several engines stored in NY state at the old family farm. They were stolen and crushed for scrap $$$.

Cindy was going to rev them until they blew up.. I was looking for a video setup to record it.

It's now recovery time.. maybe next year. (sigh)

Hi Willy, Well, great news.... I hope you will record everything. And take care of your wife.... You are very lucky! It's really very rare to see a woman with so much understanding and acceptance. Anyway.

Also, dear "luvitloud", i would like to learn if you finally blew the Cadillac or you just stop because of your movement to gulf area? You said that the car lasted for almost 9 months.... Did you sell it? Anyway, just curriosity.... I have some clips from "crankingfetish" with a 1973 Oldsmobile and i think that these cars had same engines.... right? If so, i agree with you: they sound awesome! How long did she hold it floored? I would like to learn for that.... And a friendly advice: i don't know how old are you, if you are married, and what are the chances to reconnect with this woman, but.... if i was in your position i would never let her go.... NEVER.... I mean not because of my movement or for a reason like that. Anyway.... I was in U.S. and i know how is the way of living. I know that sometimes is difficult to keep a relationship. However, if we are talking for the woman of your life, think twice before she go.... Finally, i hope that you haven't misunderstood my thoughts. Just friendly. I hope to hear from you soon....

Any other friend here? Especially with my lovely classic "dreamboats" or "street-dinosaurs" from 70's???? I learnt for these nicknames when i was in U.S. and i dissapointed a bit because nowdays nobody want to own such a classic car. However, these were the last classics of the American automobile industry. After about 1983-4, the whole design changed. Even the classic Cadillacs became different. Only the "Fleetwood" models kept the classic line but not for too long. In about early 90's, they changed the shape of "Fleetwoods" as well. Also, the "downsizing" of classic American cars started in late 70's and continued during 80's and 90's. Pitty.... The upcoming price of oil, as well as the Asian market changed the scenery and today we have even "Chevrolets" to be made in Korea.... Twice pitty.... And these cars from 70's remained to remind us the good old days. The days when the cars had "personallity" and when the human relationships were more warm and human.... If i was permanently living in U.S., i would try to "save" as much of these cars as i could.... Especially the Cadillacs which are my favourite. I have seen these cars in excellent condition at "ebay", to be sold for just a few thousands $ and in my opinion it's very far from what they really worth. Imagine what was a 1979 Sedan DeVille back in 1979....!!!! Anyway, if someone has such a Caddy, put the "Stayin Alive" in the ORIGINAL stereo of the Caddy and start cruising around town.... You will be very happy when you discover how great you can feel in the huge and luxury interrior of the car! Anyway. Closing my thoughts, OF COURSE the revving is STRICTLY PROHIBITED in such a car....! These cars are revving very nice but it's pitty to destroy or minimize the life of these engines for our fun.... Even if such a car is in very bad condition, it would be better to use the spare parts than blow up the engine. And the spare parts start being rare and difficult to find and of course expensive.... Think twice before you rev such a car. Think that you will destroy a living part of American automobile history. A product that it will never been made again.... NEVER.... And i hope that everyone which own such a car and has the revving fetish is not using such a car for fun. We can have our fun with other cars and keep these unique classic cars alive....! It's pitty to destroy such a car just for fun and fetish purposes.... Anybody agree with these? If not, why?

Ok friends, except the classic cars, we have to keep this section "alive", as well....! I hope to see more posts often. Stay happy and have a nice weekend.

                                                       George.

P.S.: When i read the story of "luvitloud" i enjoyed as i like the hard revving (ONLY from women), BUT.... BUT, i became very sad when i thought the poor 1973 Sedan DeVille.... NOT AT THESE CARS.... PLEASE ! ! ! !
