There is a SUPER sexy scene with Doris Day in the film Julie (1956) where she is trying to escape her current abusive husband, but he has already tampered with her car's engine. There are no pedal shots, but you can hear her desperate STOMPING of the accelerator pedal as she attempts to get the car started. There is also a scene in the very beginning of the film where she is again trying to escape her current abusive husband, she gets the car started, but he jumps in the car with her at the last minute. He then smashes her foot on the accelerator pedal to taunt her as they are accelerating down a winding road. She attempts to wedge her foot free, but she can't. She tries to take the key out of the ignition, but he won't let her. She pleads with him a few times, "You're hurting my foot!" The scene is suspenseful AND sexy at the same time.
