Hello. I've posted stories before in the The Passenger's Seat section, and have been playing with creating PP apps. This app lets you watch (and control) college student Amy and her 1965 VW Bug.

Since IE had an update, I haven't gotten the app to work on it since. A workaround is using the Adobe standalone Flash player, located here . Download that first (scroll down to find), then download and open the linked file below.

As the app is just for us PP folk, there are no instructions in the app on purpose. (Turn your sound on.) Press Space to remove the blue screen. The ignition key is the arrows... press Right Arrow for Amy to crank the engine. If it doesn't start, press Left Arrow, then try again. Once the engine starts, you can floor the pedal with the Z and X keys, or use A or Q for a tap (fast or slow) of it.

The G key adds gasoline. Once it runs out, the engine will stall and won't start again without adding more gas (duh). Use the Left Arrow key to have Amy turn the engine back off. And just because she can, Amy will honk the horn for you if you press the H key.

The programming language used is Scratch, found here, (it's drag and drop). Pictures and sounds are from the internet. Request that you keep this file to yourself, and any other PP fans. So, the file is on FileDropper at this link here. You're welcome.

By the way if you highlight this white text, the F key does something too

This is really a neat concept! I don't think I've ever seen a Flash app for PP. Well done and well executed, I really like it. Thanks for sharing!

Make sure your flash player supports flash applications and not just flash video files. The standalone Adobe flash player should work.

I believe the link has expired again, try downloading from here (pick "Download This File") then opening the downloaded file with the Adobe Flash Player standalone. Should work.

Guys, if a blue screen comes up, that's good and means it has loaded. Just hit the spacebar. That activates the app. It also works in tintown's other app, too.

It's been a while and the link to the filedrop is well... Gone! Does anybody have this or the "train ride" app he made?

That doesn’t do anything for me. When it opens I can see Amy for a quick second, but then I get blue. It doesn’t seem to respond to any keys.

Try opening it in the Chrome browser. That's how it works for me. Good luck!

how do i even get to the game

Download the flash projector from here: https://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/debug_downloads.html

Then download the files that our fellow PP mates dug up

Open the flash projector

Then put one of the two files in. Press space and enjoy

Is the App also running on mobile devices? Perhaps it is planned to offer such a app on the App stores?

I highly doubt it. You can ask the app maker and original poster of this thread, the user tintown.
I don't think iOS or Android devices support Flash. But even if they did, you wouldn't have a keyboard to interface with the app, so you wouldn't be able to do anything. Getting the app to work with a touchscreen would require re-coding and re-mapping.

Sorry.
